Listen to this and you'll agree:\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><iframe width=\"420\" height=\"315\" src=\"http:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/xrQ46yM504s\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\nHere are a few more great songs:\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><iframe width=\"220\" height=\"149\" src=\"http:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/SuBo9KTZx7E\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe> <iframe width=\"220\" height=\"149\" src=\"http:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/1j_uKF4e0Fg\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe> <iframe width=\"220\" height=\"179\" src=\"http:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/AU8rFaxR9ok\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\nI've been keeping an eye out for a US tour, but they haven't shown up. \u00a0I went as far as speaking to the booking agent at Yoshi's San Francisco to try to get Indigo Jam Unit to play. \u00a0However, Yoshi's was too busy trying to book\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.yoshis.com\/sanfrancisco\/jazzclub\/artist\/show\/1604\" target=\"_blank\">Bell Biv DeVoe<\/a> and\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.yoshis.com\/sanfrancisco\/jazzclub\/artist\/show\/1742\" target=\"_blank\">Naughty by Nature<\/a> instead of finding good jazz artists.\n\nIndigo Jam Unit probably wouldn't fit in well with the atmosphere at Yoshi's since it's too sterile, bright, and old. \u00a0The band tends to play best when nestled in a group of fans, which is why I might try the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.cafedunord.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">Cafe Du Nord<\/a> or even the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.elephantroom.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">Elephant Room<\/a> in Austin. \u00a0I don't want to give up just yet. \u00a0The music is just too damn good.\n\nThe selection of MP3 downloads is very small. \u00a0All you can get from Amazon is a crappy album called <a href=\"http:\/\/www.amazon.com\/gp\/product\/B003ZAZZI4\/ref=as_li_ss_tl?ie=UTF8&tag=zygmy-20&linkCode=as2&camp=217145&creative=399373&creativeASIN=B003ZAZZI4\">Re: Common<\/a><img src=\"http:\/\/www.assoc-amazon.com\/e\/ir?t=zygmy-20&l=as2&o=1&a=B003ZAZZI4&camp=217145&creative=399373\" width=\"1\" height=\"1\" border=\"0\" alt=\"\" style=\"border:none !important; margin:0px !important;\" \/>, which has rap drowning\/FLOODING the music and douses the listener in profanity. \u00a0I can't stand listening to lyrics which constantly use the word nigger.\n\nI understand Common is a progressive rapper\/poet, even had a poet reading at the Whitehouse, and had a great interview on the Daily Show (<a href=\"http:\/\/www.thedailyshow.com\/watch\/wed-september-14-2011\/common\" target=\"_blank\">Sept. 14th<\/a>), but his style destroyed the album. \u00a0If he did spoken word or a little beatnik or doo-wap, it would have been better. \u00a0Common's aggression and inflexible rap\u00a0structure\u00a0didn't fit the music. \u00a0It's almost as though he wanted the music to align with his words.\n\nThe band has a recent release called\u00a0\"ROSE\" that includes vocals from\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.aliciasaldenha.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">Alicia Saldenha<\/a> which is\u00a0definitely\u00a0a step up. \u00a0Here's a video:\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><iframe width=\"419\" height=\"213\" src=\"http:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/nAU0dsll_DM\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\nThere are a few albums on Amazon you can buy from \"<a href=\"http:\/\/www.amazon.com\/gp\/product\/B002T3MGR6\/ref=as_li_ss_tl?ie=UTF8&tag=zygmy-20&linkCode=as2&camp=217145&creative=399373&creativeASIN=B002T3MGR6\">Sellers<\/a><img src=\"http:\/\/www.assoc-amazon.com\/e\/ir?t=zygmy-20&l=as2&o=1&a=B002T3MGR6&camp=217145&creative=399373\" width=\"1\" height=\"1\" border=\"0\" alt=\"\" style=\"border:none !important; margin:0px !important;\" \/>,\" but I eventually had to import all the music myself from Japan directly. \u00a0If you decide to import, make sure you get these albums; they are amazing!\n<ul>\n\t<li>Realism<\/li>\n\t<li>2x2<\/li>\n\t<li>Collectivity<\/li>\n\t<li>Pirates<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<em>head over to their <a href=\"http:\/\/www.basisrecords.com\/indigo\/\" target=\"_blank\">web site<\/a> (you may need to translate the <a href=\"http:\/\/basisrecords.com\/indigo\/wp\/\" target=\"_blank\">blog<\/a>)<\/em>"}}
