The lines and size of the pillar\/obelisk is imposing for the viewer and the soldier emerging from the stone is just as... indefatigable.\n\nEven though the memorial is for Canadian soldiers, it's still worth mentioning on Veteran's Day since we should thank our allies that died along side our soldiers.\n\nAlso, the story behind the memorial is just as interesting... the Canadians stood strong during the first gas attack by the Germans and filled the line where the French soldiers broke ranks.\n\n<em>from <a href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Saint_Julien_Memorial\" target=\"_blank\">wikipedia<\/a><\/em>"}}
